Welcome to Wellington Dental Care

Accepting NHS and private patients

We would like to welcome you and extend a warm welcome to our practice and hope that you become a regular satisfied patient. Please feel free at any time to discuss your particular needs or queries with the dentist or staff. Nearly any problem or worry can be solved and worked out, but only if we know about it, however trivial it might seem.

Our aim is good dental health for you and your family through preventive dentistry. That means giving you regular dental advice and helping you understand how to care for your teeth to reduce the need for dental treatment. We operate a recall system to remind you when your next visit is due.

Cosmetic & restorative treatment

You can benefit enormously from the modern development in these fields. Both your appearance and oral comfort can be improved by utilising advanced methods in restorative dentistry. Where clinically possible we now have alternative methods for replacing missing teeth, rather than an uncomfortable and possibly harmful denture. More aesthetically acceptable filling materials are now available to restore teeth in all quadrants of the mouth.

Children’s dentistry & orthodontics

We encourage parents to introduce children to dental health care at an early age, and great emphasis is placed on the prevention of tooth decay and gum disease. If your child has crowded or protruding teeth the problem can be corrected by an orthodontist, and we will be pleased to make arrangements for this treatment to be carried out. This practice strongly recommends that if your child plays any sport that endangers their teeth mouthguards should be worn. We will be more than happy to provide this service, since damage to the permanent teeth can lead to a lifetime of unnecessary dentistry.

Quality & excellence

We are committed to quality and excellence and we have management systems which ensure that we deliver quality service consistently. Our patients are very important to us and we regularly ask for your views on our service. We will discuss and agree with you your treatment and the costs and will keep you informed should there be any changes to the proposed treatment.

Emergencies & out of hours

We shall always endeavour to arrange an appointment on the day that we are contacted.

For urgent advice or treatment outside surgery hours, please call NHS 111 for emergency dental care.

You can, however, phone 07860 795 422 if you want to be seen under a private arrangement at any time.

Anxiety & nervous patients

At Wellington Dental Care we know that most people feel a little uncomfortable at the thought of a visit to the dentist. Please let us know of any deep-seated fears or upsetting past experiences so that we can help you. From small procedures such as routine examinations and dental scaling to other more involved procedures such as fillings, tooth whitening or extractions, we can help.

We would like to reassure our patients that all necessary precautions are taken to safeguard both patients and staff against cross infection.

Our staff have been trained to maintain the highest standard of hygiene in every aspect of the practice.

Disposable items are used wherever possible and all dental instruments and handpieces are sterilised at a very high temperature in accordance with health and safety requirements.

Fees & Payments

We are happy to accept most methods of payment, including major credit cards.

Some patients are entitled to free NHS dental treatment or help towards the cost. Please ask the receptionist for details or you can email us.

If you are worried about the cost of dental treatment or find any point about charges difficult to understand, please ask the receptionist or you can email us.

We also offer our patients the chance to join our Practice Membership Plan which is a monthly payment based on the condition or your teeth and gums and enables you to spread payments for your routine dental care and includes insurance against accidental damage to your teeth.

You can spread the cost of your treatment with our 0% finance package on treatments over £250 for periods up to 5 years.

Canceling or missing an appointment does cause disruptions so please let us know preferably 24 hours in advance.

Patient satisfaction is very important to us
